In my imagination, I can run 12 miles with a 55 lb ruck on my back.  However, in reality, I hate running just 3 miles with no weight.  I came to the shocking realization that I would have to run a lot more than 3 miles with no weight in order to make 12 miles with weight.  That was motivation enough to do a 3 miler this morning.

Two laps around the neighborhood. Out - 18:18.44  Back - 18:46.54 = 37:04.98

55 lb ruck at a 15 min / mile pace for 4 miles.  I tried to walk fast, but that is just impossible for me at this point.  I have to run some of it.  I'll have to run most of it to tell you the truth.  Finished in about an hour.  May have been a few seconds over.

Put that elliptical on 5 and went after it.  I feel great today.  Covered 5.49 K in an hour.  Looking to do a fun jog in the evening.  We'll see what happens.

Eight miles with a 55 lb ruck.  I had one bottle of water and couldn't make up my mind on the distance because I only had one bottle.  Four out and four back.  I will say that I started hurting around 3.5.  Who knew that walking could be so hard?  Took 2 hrs 30:49 to complete.  The standard is 2 hours which means that I have my work cut out for me.
